Obama again

IN the previous article I ended with the question , was not it better if  president Obama addressed the Islam world and Arabs world from Iraq or Afghanistan?

I would add not necessarily , we all are watching actions , how these words in Cairo , to say it right ” these beautiful words ” how would they be translated to actions , what is the time agenda? how long to see settlements stop as well as land confiscation in Jerusalem and in west bank? how far away from the departure of the last soldier from Afghanistan or Iraq ,

would we see in the near future a call for presidents of the area to go to the US and sit together ?

On the other hand it is an American presedential custom to start working on the palestinian case just right at the end of presedential period ,remind you of the presidents” Bush (vision) a Palestinian state by the year 2005 , at that time I raised a question why 2005 and the presedential period ends by the end of 2004 ,comes later the answer, it was when president Bush had won elections in second time , the answer was that ” a Palestinian state by 2009 ” still there is no reasonable answer for the choice of years either 2005 or 2009 ,any how we see now some different attitude , we see within the very first 100 days the new elected US president is taking steps towards the middle east , would that could appear in future as a time table ,agenda, weekly breefings . would that happen ?

Let us take one small example , Lebanon stayed for  months and months with no president on the top of state , it was a conflict between the parties inside lebanon , the same was between Saudia and Egypt in one side and Syria on the other side , as well it was a conflict between the US and France on one hand and the Iran -Syria on the other hand , months and months no president in Lebanon , then one small country in the size of Qatar called for a conference of the main parties , they sat together in Qatar in less than few days there was a president , can we say here that the lebanese parties were incabable to solve the conflict in Lebanon and managed to do that in Qatar?.

In other words the elements which are used in the conflict is local  , but to have the conflict solved  needed more than the locals , of course the one thing in Qatar they had was a place that they sat together for all the needed time without breaks ,and of course each party had at that time the free and secure access to have any phone consultations

Obama in Cairo

Arabs ,Muslims , Jews , Persians . even people in Afghanistan and far east were waiting for the speech of the president of the US in the university of Cairo.

It is not and was not expected to give the magic solution , as some one said before “ I wish to sleep at night next morning I open my eyes and see that Gaza strip is swallowed by the sea “, those who expected  a magic solution for the world problem must be living some where else as in Mars may be .

To put finger on points of tension was an excellent way ,especially bringing that after an introduction about the share of Arabs and Muslims in the humans history , mentioning Spain as an example was great, comparing that with the US invasion to Iraq , how Muslims and Arabs are remembered in Spain and how the US will be remembered in ,in Iraq , Afghanistan ,…..

The use of “Ayat ” from Quran was most fascinating , I am sure the president has excellent adviser ,  westerns who ever they were unfortunately they blindly discuss the Quran with Muslims , or even some writers might publish books with the western way of reading Quran , but in here the adviser should have been a Muslim with a good knowledge of Islam and Quran . plainly that expresses the interest of the president in a real understanding , I do not fancy the idea of bringing that as a background of his , once he talked about his background in knowing Islam ,it was very weak, just hearing the (adan) calling for prayers in morning and evening , that is not convencing , but the Ayat he brought was a real Muslims choice and worked hard to read and compare (adviser of course ) which ones has the most impression .

I am not talking here politics , I do not even know if his speach was a political speach or it was reconceliation , was he saying sorry?

Of course as I mentioned before no magic therapy to all the mentioned problems , but more likely I would take it ” sorry for all killings ”

just one question : Was not better to say that speech in Iraq or Afghanistan?

No peace without justice

First I have to thank the editor of that article titled ” No peace without justice ”

What is Justice to the author of that article? (God gave us the land , and the justice is as long as Palestinians are Arabs and Arabs has 99.5% of the middle east , so let Palestinians live in the 99.%5 and leave the .5% free to let us accomplish the “God gave us” )

I do understand fully the other side point of view ,but just fore one second think of it in a different way .

Israeli argument : there is nothing called Palestine ,or Palestinians ,

How true is that? suppose for a single second the answer is no, there is Palestine and Palestinians , and there was Palestine and Palestinians , just for a single second what that make out of a decent Israeli , what that would made out of him? does that leave a place to live in Palestine as Israeli, for a decent Israeli I doubt that , as a Jew may be the answer is different , but for an Israeli and a decent one he would think in a very different way. again I say suppose for a second differently , why is it different for a Jew ? Jerusalem for a Jew or for a Christian the same as Mecca for Muslims , some goes there to Mecca once a year , or live there a month or go as a pilgrim ,but definitely never we have heard over 1 500 000 000 Muslims living in Mecca or choose Mecca as their living city , the same as for Christians to Jerusalem or Bethlehem , even the Pope ,in his recent visit it was the Pope and it was an Eight days visit to the holly land

A decent Israeli might say ;” why should I . God gave it to me (the land ) and I can bring you proofs of that , its mentioned in more than one place in the OT that gave it to us .

But let us look into that carefully , according to Islam Ibrahim is a prophet , he came to the holly land , visited Jerusalem and met the King of Jerusalem , he was welcomed there and choose Beer Shiva to stay with his , where the OT say God gave him the land , in the same OT it is mentioned that he bought a piece of land in Qiryat Arbaa” as a piece of land to be buried after death , let us now just to look at the term “bought” do not you see that there is some thing wrong in that?

God gave it to me , and I go buying a donum of land , what a contradiction ,

1 God gave

2 I buy a donum (1000 square meters) = 33 meters X 30 meters /

3 buy it from whom ? Palestinians? Arabs? Greeks? Romans ? Persians? Brits?

There some thing is wrong

As a Muslim I am ordered to believe in the Bible ,old and new , but also I am ordered to use my brains . once I meet some thing like that either I say the Prophet was not a good believer ,because if God gave it to him ,he should say thanks God for your givings , and I go plant some trees around it and say to others “private Land ,do not enter ” but I do not go paying money or exchanging it with sheep or cattle . that if we questioned the attitude and the act of the Prophet ,

I would not go deeper analyzing this short sentence , but is not that some thing to discuss for a decent Israeli

Suppose this decent Israeli would say: ” But Moses was ordered by God to take the Jews out of slavery ,out of Egypt to live in the land that God gave to Ibrahim ”

So the argument here is a different one , it means that God gave this land to Ibrahim and his onlu son Isac and after him to his sons ,

All know that Moses came close to reach Palestine and his people rejected to enter , and all the story but once they entered the land they took it by force and fight for it , many battles , even it went to generations David (again considered a Prophet according to Muslims,as well as Solomon ) he defeated the people who lived there , I really find according to the discussion of a decent Israeli a name to call them , Palestinians ? Israeli rejects that they were no Palestinians , Romans? too early. locals ? Arabs ? what should we call them?

bottom of line David defeated them , but unlike what happened in Jericho , IN Jericho all (locals) were killed but not two (the story ) In Jerusalem locals were defeated . so the king David was not ordered to build the house of God because of the too many blood was on his hands , ( again think) in Jericho there were more blood , than in Jerusalem ,in Jericho all were killed but not in Jerusalem , never the less Solomon was ordered to build the house of God , so a piece of land was chosen (donum)

now Solomon has some extras in his days than Ibrahim , again both to Muslims are Prophets , what these extras ? 1 God gave the land for his fathers  2  he took it by force ,the other party was defeated , but what Solomon did ? he again went to buy that donum of land , once he knew that his officers paid unfair price , he complained for that and went to pay a fair price , for a house of God, meaning ? God refuses to confiscate this land or this donum or what ever the idea was .

Again we face in here the same thing , the same old discussion

of course this is not a Palestinian discussion , it is only for those who just claims no Palestinian present at the early times

Pope in (PAT)

We talked about each visit once it started or already finished , but for the anticipations and expectations of the visit I should go one step further.

Already the Pope is in Palestine , he is in Jerusalem already so it is not accurate to have the title (pope in Palestine ) while I refer here to the Pope in the Palestinian authority territories , (PAT)

It was obvious that the Pope”s visit to the Islamic mosques in Jerusalem and meeting some Muslim leaders was not allowed to be covered by the media , it was a show of the Israeli authorities to prove their presence in the city , while his meetings with the Jewish religion leaders took good cover of the media as well as his visit to “Yad va Shem ” and to the Walling wall , what that proves ? simply to me it proves that Jerusalem is under occupation , no matter the occupation try to present a pretty face , but this is seen all over occupation has no pretty face , where ever who ever it has no pretty face

German occupation to France has no pretty face , French occupation to Algeria has no pretty face , even America has no pretty face in Iraq , If occupation turn to have  a pretty face then occupation is no longer occupation , it would have a different name and a different sort of actions and reactions but I just cant bring one example were occupation turn to be friendly ,

So is Pope visiting any family of the 11 000 prisoners families?

Is the Pope going to make it clear that he is visiting a new borne country of Palestine with Jerusalem as a capital of this country?

Would he call to stop occupation?

Would he visit the Aidah refugee camp and wish them a safe return to home land?

Is he going to mention the war on Gaza and address the Christians there in Gaza who tried to cross to meet the Pope but they were not allowed to , only few were permitted

Would he call to lift the wall , the WALL OF SHAME
Well, tomorrow do not start tomorrow it start today ,

To day is yesterday”s tomorrow

There were many expectations for yesterday , today we saw  the Pope and his visit to Bethlehem . it was true a pilgrimage visit , but it was a first class pilgrimage , the ordinary thing in the platonic discussion is people has  all sorts of expectations , but once the first step is fulfilled  then  Platonic  starts immediately saying well so what ? you have said it so what then ? but let us be realistic , to the anticipation and expectations of yesterday is it fulfilled or not?

one of them was that the Pope see and the world would see the partition wall , what usually Israeli like to call it fence , so was that accomplished , to the best of knowledge the Pope was sitting almost 50 meters far from the wall and appears on the background a tower as well.

To the next point the prisoners , was there a message , was their pictures of prisoners ? was their letters from prisoners families and their parents and kids ? yes there were ,more over all now knew that the youngest prisoner is two years old ,

Some other fact , the Christians who are not allowed to reach Jerusalem in order to pray or visit , the difficulties of people of Jerusalem crossing gates and check points and all sorts of suffering , was that obvious in front of the Pope , was it clear to the Pope that the Palestinian president is a man of peace?

I suppose it is well done for Palestinian to arrange ,to manage , to welcome , to express them selves , I believe they managed the best of it ,

Was it clear to the whole world that the Palestinian suffer is a total Palestinian suffer and that who expressed the living in harmony between Muslims and Christian was so clear , the term mosaic was used and the occupation was blamed for the severe immigration from the holy land

It was mentioned that 1400 years of co-living is now deeply affected and the churches within few years of such suffer might be turn only for tourists to visit  now and then

Pope in Israel

After the visit to Jordan ,the Pope is arriving Israel, although there were some opposing his visit in Jordan , that they were expecting an apology ,but satisfied them that he visited a mosque , the same rights that Jordanians has must be as in Israel ,so it is expected that there are some opposing to his visit , they gave three reasons for that , i can recall two of them ,  one of them is connected to the Pope”s youth ,that he served in in some thing connected to the army , well he was and others were but that does not mean that he was involved in the holocaust or approving or denying , as any other German who lived in the 40ies , the other reason was that he gave one of the church Bishops a forgiveness declaration ,because that this Bishop had shown uncertainty of the number of the Jews died in the holocaust ,while Jews claims that it was 6 000 000 ,this Bishop claims that the figure is 300 000 , so the Jews hold that for opposing this visit ,its absolutely legitimate and right that people like or dislike , and here let us be far away from denying their rights to express their feeling .

The point is this forgiving deceleration , two points connected with this declaration , the first one in the same sense that a British writer was sentenced for three years in active imprisonment in an Austrian court in Vienna , for the same reason , just such a thing tells that absolutely forbidden to deny the holocaust as well as the numbers , how this can be happened , is it that the Bishop must be sentenced as well ,

But let us be fair , as we see the world as it is now ,let us consider the main three religions in our area , we wilkl see that there are the extremists in applying religion , then very religious , religious ,  average ,less religious . more less , then the not religious , then who denies the existence of God.

In our case here the writer or the Bishop or who ever would  need a forgiveness deceleration from the Pope for showing uncertainty in the numbers or his researches show him different facts .(the writer was sentenced three years imprisonment) so those denials of God and his existence or those unbelievers in religion why are they set free , we all know the crusader wars in the 11th century and those of the recent ones why do not these countries  deal with them(the deniers) before invading other peoples countries?

And more important is it right to force people to believe in the numbers of the holocaust and set them free if they express there denies to God ?

Pope in Jordan

What a fine visit, the traditional Arab kindness receiving their guests ,gifts to the Pope from able and disabled  people , even the white and red Jordanian scarf had landed for few seconds over the Pope”s shoulders ,all that was lovely , some were expecting him to apologize about previous decelerations ,but they over looked that considering that a visit to the mosque is as equal an apology.

the visit to mount Nippo was some thing considerable , although I did not hear of any reporter or official try to explain the importance or the message of this visit. it is known that God took prophet Moses (A.S) to this mountain to show him the land ,telling him that he will not entering this land ,but the Pope is not doing so , unlike many Christians from Syria ,Lebanon Jordan ,Iraq and many other countries they can not get into this land even those who had diplomatic relations with Israel it is not that easy to have a visa to carry on pilgrim,or to visit relatives in the holly land , so the Pope is not there in a sense of sympathy with those because on the following day the Pope will be in this land , but the important thing that the Pope did not mention those Christians ,who are unable to carry on pilgrimage , There the Pope expressed his feelings about the  good relations with Jews, of course he did not say Israel ,he said Jews ,and of course that was a good point for Jordan and Jordanians ,they expressed as well Muslims never has any thing against Jews ,”they lived centuries amongst us in harmony” but strange why did the Pope find himself ought to say that from the mount of Nippo , is not he in few hours will be amongst the them , why addressing them in advance, why not pray for those who loved to come to holly land to free pass to the pilgrimage , did not the idea of crusaders in the 10th and 11th century was all  about pilgrims ,

Why would us see that happens , it is not the Pope only , with all the respect for him ,it is not only him .the Pope ,the church in more than 100 occasions called upon the Christians in the world that the Jews of the world are not guilty of the blood of Jesus (A S)  , hundred occasions it is not only the Pope , if you look to the previous Pope”s visit it was almost the same content , OK let us agree on that , the Jews are not guilty . for some thing had happened 2000 years ago, in fact the Jews were living in so many christian communities since 2000 years or more ,and they are now living in different communities now , no one hears that in any community the suffer of this feeling or considered second or third degree citizen ,

AS long as there is no quilt or required to feel guilty , why then Germany  ,has to say “the reason we are here is to protect Israel” France and Italy has to send troops to south Lebanon for the same reason , Britain has to do the same thing ,

Well talk now is different , if there is no quilt over Jesus blood for the doing of some Jews ,why then ought to be christian quilt for what Hitler did , but there are some thing neither the Pope or Markel took in considerations , Jesus has offered his body and his blood , while Markel and Blair , Bush or Shirack of France has offered the Palestinian blood ,

Egypt and Hizbullah

If or If not Arabs agreed that Hizbullah ” the Lebanese Islamic resistance ‘ had won the 2006 war against Israel , and again if or if not Arabs appreciated the winning of this war , also if or if not the Arabs regard this as one big strategical in the Arab-Israeli conflict ,as well as how comes a very well equipped army stays for 33 days in a very destructive war and at its end was not able to declare winning the war , but even more indirectly acknowledged the loss of war.

one should take in account the numbers of army in that war against the number of Lebanese resistance ,the weapons of both sides ,

As Arabs claimed continuously years and years and since the 1948 onwards that they were protecting Palestinians , preparing to the war against Israel having some fights as well such as 1956 war ,1967 war, 1973 war and 1982 war, and then how Arabs lined up behind the Intifadah 1987 and the other Intifadah 2000 , as well as that some of them were against the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks in Oslo .

AS they claimed for all these years but  they took sides in the 2006 war , while in 1956 war no Arab was looking to nothing but  was deeply motivated with Egyptians and Egyptian leader , while here in an un-equal war the big against the little , the well armed against the less armed , those who has the right against those who never had the right , was there a reason for that? was there a reason some were not happy with the results . even once as mentioned before there were an indirect Israeli acknowledgment of less . some of them were just refusing what Israel admits , Israel says we lost but they were refusing that , one of these countries just tried to have FATWA in order not to pray for them to win ,

where did Egypt stand of this , side of Hizbullah?

If we look at that as past , and we want to talk present , war on Gaza , do people took sides also in this war? I am sure non of them of either side was happy to see the Palestinian kids killed and wounded , I am sure of that , but on the other hand do they really wanted that Hamas win this war?

Later on appeared that Hizbullah tried to help Palestinians , they tried to do that , Egypt is against this , what do e expect ?

Is the four officers case is a non win case which no accusations can be held against Hizbullah so they let them free ? while by the case of those members in Gaza Egypt might get some thing?

do we help ourselves or still looking to take sides?

Four officers of Lebanon

After three years and eight months four officers are set free , they were hold for that period on the case of the late Lebanese PM Rafiq Hariri was murdered ,Hariri was a fine PM who woked for his country as well as for Unity of Lebanon also he was leading the world understanding of Lebanese resistance

The loss of Hariri hijacked Lebanon to all different possibility starting with a civil conflict , Hariri closest relatives and political supporters were to point fingers to Syrian regime and pro-Syrians in this assassination . the Judge Merza has issued but with no charges the court orders which as a result these four officers were held in custody.

In short Hariri assassination was on its own a major issue , in its significance it is as equal as the murder of the late American president John F.Kennedy. who was shot early 60ies ,president Kennedy was and still very popular , to Americans and on wider range , his murder and in a country such as America , made all the world hold his breath , many question were asked by the ordinary man. most important was why? who?

who would do it and who would benefit of such a thing?

AS I said before Kennedy was a fine leader almost all loved him locally and on international level . and that is one thing in common with Hariri , the difference is that Kennedy was the man of America and living in America with all the  levels of protection that American president would have ,while Hariri lived in Lebanon and the means of protection is almost as similar of American president , all methods of technology and alarms ,as well as cars and guards that money made , in other words equals . this equals that

now over 45 years are passed after the murder of Kennedy ,5 years to murder of Hariri , and still the questions are the same

Why ,who ,who is .

do we expect that any would show interest to give the right answers

Lee Harvy Ozwald who shot Kennedy his life was drawn “  ” on an American film bringing all his life details and his connections his travels to Russia ,his marriage but there were no answers on the questions as well as many documentaries since ,but the answers who and why are still open
