There is so much to write about ,especially these days . and in gross after the channel 10 report .but to avoid this and give time to the people who said the time will disclose all ,so simply I will go writing about a place that I loved and worked in , later will come the story of how it happens and I worked in a company as a grill chef cooking chicken and meat steaks and place or Dover fish .
but now its the cellar bar and Peter Pavey story
IN the Berni Inn there was that problematic cellar bar , in which its expected a fight and a big fight , fists can be used and in many cases bottles are used , the main person who was causing that was Peter Pavey .which made the manager took him as the bar man in this bar in order to keep it safe
No black and no white ,if you would put black grade 10 and white as grade 1 so he might take grade 7 , that was all about his life , simply he hated that , who ,or how I never knew not any other worker did ,some waitress worked in the place he liked her and they got married , it was easy to notice the black eye she got now and then but we used to turn away when she wanted to show some bruises on her body , it was not that we did not sympathies with her it is that no one wanted to get involved .
It was one Xmas and I was working in the restaurants on the first floor when I wanted to cheer the managers and workers the time we finished so I went to the second floor , the minute I went in , all were there manager and staff as well as Peter ,who was drunk ,very drunk , the minute I walked in Peter came facing me drunk saying ” you talked to my Mrs .” I simply did not realize to what that might lead but I saw the manager Jumped and stood in between telling me to leaf right away ,there were no place to argue but I left
few months passed , Peter used to come to my restaurant now and then ,he used to order chicken but I never took it seriously or even know the meaning by repeating chicken ,
Eastern was , and the same thing happened and I wanted to great manager and staff and again they were in the second floor bar , I went in but this time Peter was faster than the manager , he said some thing close to ” you do not respect me ” or “you do not look after me ” there was no time to hear the only thing I saw was a flying hand aiming my face , I escaped this going down ,fast i went up , putting both hands around him in order not to give him a space to launch another , his fist was as a ton in weight , but he managed to hold a glass and hit my head , just above the right ear , no claim that I am strong ,but he was too drunk and I swung him down , he was on the floor , his head was making an angle with the wall , to see him in this situation with some looks in his eyes , so humiliated , (poor he I said in my mind ) he stretched his hand forward seeking for my assistance saying ” friends ” OK I said helped him to get up and the minute he was up again he tried to attack with the heavy fist and again I escaped it and again he was on the floor , but this time all the staff was around and as in the wring all wanted me to carry on and push him to stairs , I was up ,he was down on floor and again he wanted me to help him up ,and asked to be friends .” no he said , true ” I took the chance and lifted him up .
I went to hospital have few stitches , they tried at Hospital to arrange some police statement but I refused , the doctor understood that , so they did it ,but this time I went back to My work wanted to wish them happy eastern , and there I met Peter Pavey still drinking , so I came right away to him and told him that I gave no statement to police , and went my way
THe following morning was the most critical , I was going down a big entrance from my restaurant down aiming the stores . Peter at that moment was entering the door ,so there were only one or two meters between , I thought what now? he was strong .really strong and more important he was no drunk now , he did not give me much time to think , headed towards me , he expressed how sorry he was and shook hands with me , again many staff was watching and expecting .
since that day I become Peter”s friend and he used to take me around treating me in night clubs , but he never paid more over any one asked me payment or ticket he used to say “he is with me ”
and that how it went for the period that I stayed there
As Mr.Haikal proceeds in his series on the Al-Jazeerah TV , all can notice his deep appreciation to the period in which he was the closest friend of the late president Abdulnasser ,I do not blame him for that but in each particle there are two sides of the coin
In here I will just analyze few words that he wes criticizing ” ? ” the late Yasir Arafat , with some human point of view ,
Mr.Haikal was complaining that Arafat after being president complained that the ill treatment of Egypt and miss considerations of him being not well treated as a president , Mr Haikal brought that in a way that Arafat has changed to be a president of a state more than being a leader of revolution , in two points and Haikal has to remind him that he is a revolution leader and the things he asked for is too much
The first was Arafat”s complain towards the residents place in which he named it as Al-andalus palace , Arafat find that this place is not reflecting his image being a president , As a matter of fact I do not know the place , I cant argue for that , but I will consider Haikal”s other argument
The other complain of Arafat which Haikal disclose was the invitation of Arafat to Haikal to visit him at his residence , Arafat said: (( do not expect a fine breakfast I only have cheese and olives, yesterday Mr Osama El-Baz visited us and again there were no breakfast so he went to a nearby hotel and brought with him a bean dish and other things )) so Haikal replied : but do not forget that you are a revolutionist . Arafat : (( but I am a head of state ))
That is all what I am writing about in here , this is only to think .
I know that Haikal was right in his advice to Arafat not to go to Gaza and to occupied territories , Haikal was right in my opinion that ; (( all wants to get rid of you )) once Arafat said that all Arab leaders has advised him to do so , the facts later proved that if Haikal said so at that time to Arafat , his vision was so close to reality .
But what has that to do with just leaving Arafat with some cheese and olives???

May be the most difficult of all was to start writing about life , my personal , I do not know where that may lead me or how deep I should go , but sure there were so many hopes and there were so many people show love , of course there were the Rouse family ,and I am talking about the years 1970 -1972 almost ,the place was Exeter -Devon in England , and the talk will be about Mr.and Mrs Rouse
I used to live in their neighborhood , I wanted to move from the place I live , how did I choose that door as the first I tried ,I do not know , I knocked at the door , an old man opened the door and looked at me ,
-yes? he said . so I told him that I live nearby and I am looking for a place to live ,
and really if I could recall one reason to move ,may be that there were too many living in that house which all of them are of different Arab countries and I was thinking of a more quiet life than of theirs ,
The old man asked me to enter ,and he said : and how much were you paying . so I told him it was three pounds for a week . he said ok and when you moving .so I asked if I may see the room
The usual room that we use to hire ,mostly was a simple room , with a bed on a side of the room , kitchen on the other side of the same room , heater with a small table may be two or three chairs , the bath room and toilet was shared within the floor
The man introduced himself as Mr.Rouse he took me to the first floor one room , and he said this is your sitting -living – room behind it was a small kitchen next to the kitchen there were stairs , he showed me the cellar down bellow and called ..mother .. so an elderly lady looked from the cellar so he introduced me to Mrs Rouse and told her that I am going to live with them . he added we spend all our day down at the cellar and we go up to sleep ,and he took me up a floor to show me where was my bedroom, in the mid-stairs he showed me the bath room ,it was private for me only not shared , then few more stairs there was my bed room and next to it there was his own , there were a top floor but it was almost not used , but once it happened that I used it later ,
Well,,, that was some thing more than I can afford , but the man said that I am coming to live with them ,what the idea then ? I pay in the other place 3 pounds a week , for one room and a shared bath room ,so how he got my acceptance to the price that he will ask?
so he asked mother a cup of tea , and invited me down below to drink tea , so I took the chance to ask how much I will be paying , – three pounds a week he said . his other question was what date was convenient to me moving to the house and that was that
So I moved to the new place and a new form of living was
Knowing more about Mr.& Mrs Rouse
He is a nice man ,at that time he was of 74 years old , and she is a fine elderly woman of 72 years old , she was healthy with no complains ,but he has one of his hands not working well , always it was tide up to his side ,but generally no complains , she was working for a firm .but once she grew older ,she stopped going to the firm ,but the firm kept up bringing meat to her house , and what she used to do at the firm she do it at home , so each day she cut the meat into tiny little pieces good for the pie ,that the ordinary machine would not be able of doing ,
she is a mother of her own and he is a father for his own ,they met each another some time after each had his own family and lost his spouse , they had met in a park and choose to get married and live together ,both of his kids and her kids was away and for the years I spent with them I never met any of their kids ,not even at Xmas
We never had a shared meal or invited me to one , but one of the rules they put to them selves was the morning cup of tea , the time I wanted to get up Mrs Rouse was almost there with a cup of tea and a piece of cake , another rule she put for herself was the hot bottle ,ending her work of the day ,she usually put in the cold days of winter a hot bottle in my bed ,then she go bed , and that was how i lived for the period I was in England , some family that we not related or knowing them before all their aim was to make me happy in exchange for nothing and on the other hand no explanation for what ever good or bad I do during the day I am obliged to give , a home ,real home in which all is to be offered but in exchange nothing I am obliged to do to make them happy
One day Mrs Rouse gave a simple explanation . she said that her kids and her husbands kids were away , living with other people on different land than theirs (the sons ) so she believes that her kids will be treated on that far away place the same way she treats me ,
Later ,once the time due ,and I say goodbye to them , I know they missed me , one thing I remember about them in the days that I used to work hard in order to save some money to cover traveling , I used to work from 8 O clock at a chicken factory (so I need to get up by seven ) till 4 in the evening then in the Berni Inn from 6 in the evening till 11 .30 after wards i go to night club work till 3 am . Mr, Rouse used to call me saying the day is 24 hours you never can do it longer
the first Xmas , of being home ,I sent them Xmas greetings later I had the answer ” Mrs Rouse has died some months ago , our father can not live alone ,so we took him to live with Us ”
Since a long time I tried my best to understand why?
It never was only one why . they were so many , then comes the time that one can not just pass things.
AS we nad learned from history ,not a far away history , the Iraqi case , in which Iraq invaded Kuwait , many Arabs has refused the case even more ,some refused to have an Arabic solution to the problem and joined the armies to destroy the Iraqi army . but was more than that almost 2o years now is behind us and we do not see in the near future that the Iraqies are looking to Kuwaities in no brotherly manner , after we had learned this do we try in a way or another to build and establish a similar situation , are they not aware that might happen?
of course between Egypt and Gaza ,
Is Gaza a threat to any one ? is Gaza a threat to Egypt?
there are so many question to be asked connected to this aspect , when I think of bringing it up I start to think what idiot I would be accused by others ,because so many of them have the answers inside the question , so it would not be a question .more than statements , even so . these statements are so obvious in itself that all knew them , so what the point in repeating facts all are well aware of any how let us establish few facts
Mr. George Gallawi was attacked for some reasons ,if we assume that he was wrong and he did not arrange well his good will to support Caza , what about the Egyptians who just demonstrated in Cairo roads and streets wishing support to their Palestinian brothers and refusing the preform of their own government?
Sheikh Yosof Qaradawi claimed the illegality of the wall that Egypt is establishing ,on Gaza borders. it is not the place here to praise Qaradawi but he has a history ,he was never attacked for his views for over half a century ,why now in this concern others started to condemn his views and in this in particular . you can meet his views by being one of those who volunteered to meet Afghan leaders ,the time they planned to pull down the statues in Afghan , these statues were connecting to a different religion than Qardawi ,but he was ready to go and discuss this caring for some other culture .
The tunnels , the trade through tunnels , this is the most contradict act , how long is the tunnel , how long is the borders? how difficult to control 14 kilometers , tunnel has two openings one in Palestinian Rafah and the other in the Egyptian side of Rafah
Can any body claim that the Mafia is running trading business in these tunnels . how could it be ? the two opens of a tunnel is in Egypt only few meters far from the border line, more than few meters? 14 kilometers long is the border with Gaza . if you need to control these 14 kilometer it needs less than a dozen , a land rover jeep can go to and fro in 10 minutes time for a round controlling the 14 kilometer , so for perfection let them be 2 cars ,no 3 cars for a well done jop . for 24 hours patrol .8hours each one so you need three men for the clock round , what that would reach ? 9 men three cars would discover all tunnels within few hours ,
Are these tunnels more complicated than that , no to bring one full car to deliver to Gasa it needs to travel over two hundred miles in a single road , one patrol would in one day know all the trucks and what they are carrying .
In short tunnels can be detected in no time , tunnels can be discovered in no time
These facts are they knew?
of course not every single Egyptian including the Police force and the officials in that area and on the three sides of the conflict know it very well
I was listening to Mr. Sabri Shibrawi from Egypt , ” the head of department in strategic academia ” and I heard the term talklogy . which he said it in Arabic kalamlogy and I thought how right he is ,
I applied the things he said on what is really happening in our area , all rules needs to be discussed , it is obvious that all talk about the change , to talk is to go under the term talklogy , but what we need is the term actology which we do not see ,
In here I will take some examples for the required changes and what actually we are doing about that ,
One of the examples that needs to be discussed is teaching , in some cases or actually many cases we suffer of illiterates were there still so many who just unable to read or write, not because they are having some learning disabilities ,
